Executive Cabinet Committee Applications
External Relations
The External Relations Committee is a part of the Executive Branch of the Student Government Association (SGA) under the Vice President of External Relations on the Executive Cabinet of the Student Body President. The purpose of this committee is twofold: 1) To share the mission and purpose of SGA with the student body through outreach initiatives and 2) to connect students and student organizations with the necessary resources within SGA to make their Aggie experiences the best they can be. Up to 3 positions may be available for freshmen members.

Traditions Enrichment
Created under the VP of Traditions Enrichment, while existing under different names in the past, the Trad. The Enrichment Committee has consistently pushed new initiatives and established impactful projects on campus, resulting in the growth of involvement in traditions at our university. Some examples of these projects include Hullabaloo U Traditions Videos, the “Say Howdy Campaign,” and collaborative projects with the Muster Committee and Traditions Council. Up to 3 positions may be available for freshmen members.

Diversity Commission
The Diversity Commission seeks to uplift and amplify student voices, while unifying and promoting Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Access efforts within the Student Government Association, the student body, and on campus. Commission members must facilitate dialogue, provide educational opportunities, generate awareness, and engage in advocacy and outreach which works within the Student Government Association Executive Branch. Up to 1 position may be available for freshmen members.

Academic Affairs
The Academic Affairs Department is tasked with managing all advocacy efforts related to Academics and student rules, especially those pertaining to Student Senate legislation. The department develops relationships with Academic Faculty and Administration, including Deans, Professors, and the Provost and Executive Vice President of Texas A&M, to effectively implement positive change for students in Academic Affairs. Up to 1 position may be available for freshmen members.

Meet The Cabinet!
The Executive Branch is headed by the Student Body President who serves as a representative and advocate for the student body. With the assistance of the Executive Cabinet, the Student Body President works to implement Student Senate legislation and coordinate the activities of Student Government.
As an extension of the Executive Branch, there are 4 commissions and 13 committees. The commissions work at the discretion of the Student Body President’s agenda on issues related to organizational development, diversity, election, and higher education policy. The committees work to provide service to the community, host distinguished leadership conferences, uphold A&M traditions, and improve the quality of student life. Notable committees include the Aggie Recruitment Committee, Traditions Council, The Big Event, CARPOOL, Replant, Aggie Muster Committee, and COSGA (Conference of Student Government Associations).
