Texas A&M Inspiration Award for Exceptional Secondary Education

Sponsored by the Office of the President, the purpose of the Texas A&M Inspiration Award is to recognize Texas high school teachers who have inspired Texas A&M graduates at the high school level, challenging them while preparing them to excel at the collegiate level and beyond. Nominations will be accepted from undergraduate and graduate students who will graduate in May 2012. A committee is appointed by the Student Body President to review the nominees and make the selection. Two recipients will be selected and honored at the May graduation ceremony of their nominating student. In addition to an all-expense paid trip to Texas A&M University to be recognized at commencement, the recipients will receive a $2,000 individual award and the high school where the teacher taught the nominee will receive $1,000.

The application period will open on Monday, January 23rd. The deadline for completed nomination forms is 5:00 p.m., March 15, 2012. (NOTE: A minimum of 20 nominations must be received for this award to be presented at the May commencement.)

Please bear in mind that your nomination will play the most important role in the deliberation process.
