My name is Brian Harvey Hogue, an Agricultural Leadership major from Willcox, Arizona. I am honored to be serving as this year's Student Advocate for University Committees. University Committees are a function of the Student Government Association and more specifically the Executive Council. University Committees play an important part in the communication between the students of Texas A&M University and the University's administrators. These committees are open to student representatives whose job it is to provide concerns and/or input to the different committees on behalf of the student body. The committees meet consistently through out the semester. Minutes from each committee meeting will be posted so students can be aware of the changes taking place on campus. As Student Advocate I will be coordinating the student representation on about fifty-five of the University Committees throughout campus. Committees range from athletic issues, to financial aid, to disciplinary and academic issues.

If you are interested in representing your fellow students feel free to email me at ucomm@stugov.tamu.edu or select the tab Apply. You can also click here to view descriptions and meeting times for the committees. Please feel free to contact me via email with any questions. I thank you in advance for taking an active part in shaping Texas A&M's future.

Thanks and Gig'Em,

Brian Harvey '08
